Thy will be done

"He moved on from there and dug another well, and no one quarreled over it. He named it Rehoboth, saying, 'Now the Lord has given us room and we will flourish in the land.'" - Gen 26:22

“Then Jesus said to the centurion, “Go! It will be done just as you believed it would.” And his servant was healed at that very hour. – Matt 8:13

The faith of the centurion had led him to believe that with just a word from Jesus Christ, without physically having to be present, He would be able to heal the centurion’s servant. This was to the extent that even Christ Himself was astonished to come across a man of such faith.

PRAYER:

“Lord Jesus, in so many things that I do, I think twice and hesitate, always asking ‘why am I doing this?’ And it sometimes slows me down from obeying Your commands, and to a certain extent, it also seems like I am doubting Your sovereignty. Oh Father, help me of the little faith, to be like the centurion and his soldiers, that when You say ‘Go’, I will instantly go. Father, you know often times I will seek reason with You when You want me to do follow Your will. I am also guilty, Lord, of being suspicious towards authoritative rule. Lord, would you guide me in all my ways so that Your will for me may be quickly done, and at the same time, if it is Your will, grant me the understanding to better appreciate the things that I am doing in Your name. Amen.”
